Implementation of energy efficiency improvement measures for the apartment building at Dzērbenes iela 5, Riga

The residential building at Dzērbenes iela 5, Riga, has 3 floors with 12 apartments and it was put into operation in 1926.

On 21 January 2020, the association “Dzērbenes 5 māja” concluded an agreement with AS “Attīstības finanšu institūcija ALTUM” on the allocation of EUR 68 970.00 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for the implementation of energy efficiency improvement measures for the apartment building at Dzērbenes iela 5, Riga.

The total project cost amounts to EUR 175 996, including VAT, and it comprises the construction work, construction supervision, author supervision, and project management.

The work took place in the 2020 construction season according to the construction agreement concluded on 15 May 2020 with SIA “PRIME SERVICE”.

Author supervisor – SIA “Proenergo” Construction supervisor – SIA “Grand eko” Project management – SIA “Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks”.

Works performed within the project:

• External wall insulation, façade with plaster
• Replacement of windows and doors in common areas
• Insulation of the basement and attic slab
• Foundation and base insulation, curb construction
• Restoration of entrance awnings
• Replacement of roofing, etc.

The energy efficiency improvement

measures will provide:

• Heat energy savings of 71.8 kWh/m2 per year
• Greenhouse gas reductions of 12.03 CO2 eq.T/year
