In 2024, 12 historic facades were restored, and two basement ceilings were reinforced in buildings managed by SIA “Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks” (RNP). These projects were completed with the support of the municipality. In total, residents of these 14 buildings received nearly €300,000 in co-financing from Riga.
Chairman of the RNP Board Māris Ozoliņš stated:
“These 14 buildings demonstrate how much we can achieve with residents’ willingness to improve their homes, municipal financial support, and RNP’s expertise in managing such projects. I believe these results will inspire other historic building owners to participate in Riga’s co-financing program.”
RNP actively identifies and invites property owners whose buildings are in particular need of renovation to participate in the program. However, applications are welcomed from any building seeking municipal support for facade or structural renovations.

The municipality provides up to 50% of the costs for facade repairs or safety-related renovations, with a maximum contribution of €30,000 per building. Remaining costs are covered by the building’s reserve fund or through bank loans obtained by the property owners.
