In 2017, the association of apartment owners in Hanzas iela 8 decided to participate in the State support programme for energy efficiency improvement of apartment buildings, implemented by the Development Finance Institution ALTUM with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund.
The building at Hanzas iela 8 is a Soviet-era serial (1-318) 5-floor residential building with 40 residential properties and was put into operation in the early 1960s. Area of the building – 436.7 m2, total area of the property – 1969.8 m2.
Construction started in May 2021 and is expected to be completed during the 2021 construction season.
