RNP cleaning teams start taking care of cleanliness in homes and courtyards

In the search for ways to work more modernly, quickly, and efficiently, the cleaning of staircases and courtyards is gradually being entrusted to our Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks cleaning teams instead of a single caretaker.

Currently, the cleaning teams service more than 400 residential buildings, and we are pleased that the initial results are positive:

  • Consistently high quality. With a team and good equipment, our employees can serve each building more quickly and efficiently.
  • Cost efficiency. Working in teams is more effective, so despite rising costs, we were able to keep cleaning costs stable for residents.
  • Modern equipment. The teams have special brooms for floor washing, vacuum cleaners, equipment for cleaning hard-to-reach windows, leaf blowers, raiders, and small tractors. In winter, these are used to clear and salt sidewalks, and in summer, they mow lawns and sweep sidewalks.
  • Continuous cleanliness. Until now, when a caretaker got sick, it was difficult to quickly find a substitute. In a team, employees can easily replace each other.
  • Better for employees. Caretaking work is physically demanding, whereas the team shares the workload and uses modern equipment that reduces strain.
  • Better communication with clients. Previously, people often saw their home’s caretaker as a contact person to discuss concerns or wishes regarding home management. A good caretaker could listen to concerns, but lacked the necessary information and ability to help. Often, the issues were not resolved, leaving people disappointed. After the changes, residents are more actively using our communication channels – calling their home’s manager, using the mobile app or self-service portal, or calling the information hotline. This helps us quickly learn about and solve problems.

Who works in the cleaning team

Typically, five employees from SIA Rīgas namu pārvaldnieks work in each team. We invite our employees who have previously worked as caretakers and cleaners to join these teams. This way, we can also provide them with better working conditions and more modern equipment.

We are changing to work even better!
